Exodus 14:21–22 (NIV)
“Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.”

George Müller (Bristol, England – 1830s) ran orphanages purely by faith, never asking anyone for money. One morning, the children sat at empty tables — no food, no funds. Müller simply prayed, “Lord, thank You for what You will provide.”
The Israelites were trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army. There was no visible escape — the waves roared ahead, and the sound of chariots thundered behind. Fear filled their hearts, but God was already at work.
All through the night, while Israel waited, the Lord sent a strong east wind that pushed back the waters. By morning, a dry path appeared through the sea — something never seen before.
What looked like the end became the beginning of freedom. God didn’t remove the sea; He made a way through it.
When everything seems impossible, God can create a path no one expects. Faith is not about seeing the way — it’s about trusting the One who makes the way.
End of story:
Moments later, a baker knocked at the door saying he had felt led by God to bake bread early that morning. Soon after, a milk cart broke down outside, and the milkman offered all the milk before it spoiled.
Just like the Israelites at the Red Sea, Müller saw God make a way where there was none.
When I face overwhelming situations that feel like walls on both sides, I will remember that God specializes in impossibilities. He can turn obstacles into open doors, and delays into deliverance. I will wait on Him, even when it’s still dark, knowing He’s working “through the night.”
Short Prayer:
Lord, when I can’t see a way, remind me You are still working. Help me trust Your timing and follow the path You create. Amen.
