Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
🕊 “The battle is not yours, but God’s.”
— 2 Chronicles 20:15
The Israelites had just left Egypt after centuries of slavery. Pharaoh initially allowed them to go, but soon changed his mind and sent his army to chase them. The Israelites found themselves trapped between the Red Sea in front and Pharaoh’s chariots behind. Panic and fear filled their hearts — they felt helpless and cornered.
At that moment, Moses spoke words of unshakable faith: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm.” He assured them that God Himself would fight their battle. Soon after, the Lord parted the Red Sea, making a dry path for His people to cross. When the Egyptians followed, the waters returned and drowned them all. God’s power brought complete deliverance, turning fear into faith and despair into victory.
When circumstances close in on every side and there seems to be no way out, God whispers, “Be still.” It’s in stillness that we witness His power at work — not through our strength, but through His divine intervention. Faith is not the absence of fear, but the choice to stand firm even when fear surrounds us.
In moments when I feel cornered by challenges — whether in my work, relationships, or faith — I will remind myself that God is still fighting for me. My role is to stand still, trust, and wait for His timing. I will not let fear dictate my response but will rest in His promises of deliverance.
Lord, when I feel trapped and fearful, help me to stand firm and trust in Your power. Teach me to be still and let You fight my battles. Thank You for being my deliverer. Amen.
